They protect us — with no family by their side. Let's stand by those for whom today is hardest.
The story
These are hard days for Israel. Right now our soldiers are fighting — in Lebanon, in Gaza, on the country's borders — protecting our home and the safety of every one of us.
But some of them carry an extra weight — the lone soldiers. Young people who have:
- no family in the country;
- no parents to hug them after a hard day;
- no home to come back to and feel looked after.
And still, they are on the front line today, risking their lives for the country. Sometimes all they have is a sense of duty and the belief that the people of Israel are with them.
What we do
Latet BeSimcha — "Give with Joy" — raises funds to support soldiers who are serving and fighting for Israel's security right now.
Why it matters
Every bit of help counts. Even a small gesture tells a soldier he is not alone. That he is remembered. That a whole nation stands behind him.
