LATET BESIMHA was born of a simple belief: a single act can change a person's fate. We are a team of volunteers, professionals and caring people — and since 2004 we have reached out to people who find themselves alone, vulnerable or at a crossroads in life.
We are not a giant foundation and we have no big head office. Most of the work is done by volunteers, and most of the help is made possible by private donors — good people who have stood by the charity for years. That is why every donation counts, and every donation reaches its purpose.
Who we help
When illness turns life upside down, no one should face it alone. We help with treatment, diagnosis and rehabilitation, accompany people through hospitals and clinics, give financial support and bring in specialists — doctors, speech therapists, physiotherapists.
A mother on her own works two shifts with no days off.
For single mothers and orphaned children we buy what's needed for the school year and everyday essentials, give free legal and psychological advice, help with paperwork and accompany families to government offices.
Lone soldiers serve and fight for Israel, with no one waiting at home. We support them and soldiers in combat zones — so each of them knows a whole nation stands behind him.
And war leaves wounds — seen and unseen. To victims of war and terror and their families we give humanitarian aid and essentials, support through treatment and the backing to get back on their feet.

How we work
We help directly — a person, a family, a hospital ward — and build programmes that stay with people over time, not only at the moment of crisis:
- Medical help — treatment, diagnosis and rehabilitation, accompaniment through hospitals and clinics, and specialists who join along the way.
- Education and growth — computer classes for teenagers, sports clubs, Hebrew courses, lectures and enrichment meetings.
- Support for families and single mothers — everything needed for the new school year, everyday essentials, free legal and psychological advice.
- Volunteering and community — help with bureaucracy, interest clubs, shared dinners, meetings and themed evenings.

Our year: 2025-2026
Behind every line of this list stand real people:
- Support for soldiers in combat zones.
- Help for lone soldiers serving without family support.
- Dozens of families received humanitarian aid and essentials.
- Help for a family whose child has cerebral palsy and severe autism.
- Help for a single mother raising two children with autism.
- Support for the children's rehabilitation ward at Levinstein — even a new refrigerator for the ward.
35 new volunteers joined the mission.
