Registered charity · since 2004
Most of the charity's work is done by volunteers' hands. If you have an hour a week, a skill, a car or simply an open heart — there's a place for you with us.

LATET BESIMHA is not an office full of clerks. It is a storeroom full of boxes, a car heading to a base in the north, a toy placed on a bed in a children's ward, and a phone call one evening to a mother left on her own. Each of these moments happens because someone decided to give their time.
Why we need you
We are a small charity. We have no big head office and no paid staff doing everything — we have good people who come, help and come back. Over the past year 35 new volunteers joined us, and thanks to them we reached more soldiers, more families and more children on the wards.
There is no small volunteering. There is only one more person who isn't left alone.
What you get back
Volunteers tell us they receive at least as much as they give: new friends, a sense of purpose and real joy — the kind you feel when a child smiles at a gift, or a soldier writes "thank you, I didn't expect it".
You don't need experience, and you don't need to commit for a year. Wanting to is enough. Call us, write to us or leave your details — and together we'll find the place that suits you.
What our volunteers do
Parcels for soldiers
Collecting, sorting and packing equipment, toiletries, warm socks and water — and delivering them to soldiers in combat zones and to lone soldiers.
Joy on children's wards
Coming to hospitals with toys, games and craft kits, and giving every child their own "Courage Basket" — a moment of a smile in the middle of a hard day.
Supporting families and single mothers
Helping with paperwork, accompanying them to government offices, and calling to ask how the family is doing — even when there's no crisis.
Lonely elderly people
Visiting, calling, helping with bureaucracy and inviting them to shared dinners and evenings — so no one goes a week without a conversation.
Community evenings, clubs and dinners
Organising and hosting themed evenings, clubs and shared dinners — the place where strangers next door become a community.
Teach and learn
Running a computer club for teenagers, a Hebrew lesson for new immigrants, a sports session or a lecture — whatever you know can open a door for someone.
Professionals
Lawyers, psychologists, doctors, speech therapists and physiotherapists — an hour of free advice can change a family's direction.
Drivers and logistics
Have a car and a free day? Every delivery from our storeroom to a base, a ward or a family starts with one driver.
Spread the word
Sharing a campaign online, or talking to a friend who can help, is volunteering too. That's how help travels further.
